My favourite dish
This was the in-class assignment our teacher gave us. And this is what I wrote: My favourite genre of music (arguably my fav dish :P) is the ghazal. The ghazal, because it caters to both: melody and lyrics. In contrast, any other genre of music concentrates more on one at the cost of the other. The canvas for the ghazal’s lyrics is vast — more so than for any other form of lyrics. The ghazal can be philosophical, mystical, political, sensual; it can even be a satire or scathe — on the self, the other, the times. The ghazal can range from light-hearted to dead serious. It’s versatility is matchless.

Is there room for Wonderment still?
I am sometimes awestruck …with wonder at life — the complexity, diversity…. And this is a relatively recent phase in my life. The thought strikes suddenly, like on awaking from the daze that travel by the metro stimulates. And simultaneously, I wonder at my wondering: Am I losing my Sanity? Am I turning senile? For, hasn’t Science already “demystified” Life — and mostly everything else — for us? And isn’t Religion — strikingly — similar to Science in this? Evolution, Creationism. Could there be yet another alternative? On the one end, you have Science patrons saying knowledge (false knowledge, at that!) begins with Religion and “evolves” (knowledge unfalsified) to the higher plane — Science. On the other, you have Religion champions telling you the ultimate knowledge is to be found not elsewhere but in Religion. Science and Religion are yet again one: both affirm nothing's above to what they subscribe. Is either unavoidably accurate?
